THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE PROJECTS

STUDENTS

Public service projects are conducted by three- to five-person teams of first-year graduate students in the Institute of Environmental Sciences. The team members have a variety of undergraduate majors and life experiences. Some students have recently graduated from an undergraduate program; others have worked for a number of years before beginning graduate study at Miami University.

ADVISERS

Each team has at least one faculty adviser to assist the team. Several projects are done each year, and the overall public service project activity is supervised by Dr. Sandra Woy-Hazleton, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs.

CLIENTS

Project clients provide resource and contact persons. The contact person assumes responsibility for representing the client and assisting with provision of relevant data and people to contact as needed.
