FORMER PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS 

PARK PLANS AND ASSESSMENTS

 

1975-2 Butler County Parks Recreational Assessment Study 
This project assessed, evaluated and made recommendations about recreational needs and potentials in Butler County. 

1978-6 The Houston Woods Project 
The team mapped and inventoried hiking trails, recommended trail modifications, revised trail literature, and assessed.
1980-1 A Park Planning Process for the Butler County
Park District With a Case Study of Governor Bebb Preserve 
This project developed a park planning process using Governor Bebb Preserve as a case study, including making inventories of plant communities and ecologically fragile areas and developing guidelines on management practices. 

1981-1 A Comprehensive Master Plan for Bull's Run Arboretum 
The team developed an educational program, inventoried the site and created recommendations on funding, evaluation of educational programs, staffing, self-guided booklets, and building development.

1982-Joyce Park : A Master Plan For Joyce Park

A Student Team Project Completed For The Institute Of Environmental Sciences And Hamilton Department Of Parks And recreation.

 1983-3 Management Plan for the Joseph M. Bachelor Wildlife and Game Preserve 
A management plan was created focusing on resource quality to benefit wildlife and community education. 

1985-6 Alternative Funding Sources for the Butler County Park District 
A public service team identified funding available to the park district, particularly sources pertaining to land acquisition, historic preservation, and master planning. 

1986-1 Recycling Alternatives For FaiFfield.,Ohio

1987-3 Evaluating Sign Effectiveness At The Cincinnati Zoo

1989-1 Combs Park Development Plan 
This project developed a land-use plan providing leisure activities and explored alternative sources of funding for construction and maintenance. 

1992-1 Hiddan Valley Environmental Education center and Natural Preserve

1995-4 BrownFields Reuse In Ohio: An Investigation Of The Potential Application Of Ohio Senate Bill 221 In Hamilton County , Ohio

1997 Oxford Bike Paths, Planning Commission, City Council of Oxford. 
This group developed a plan to add bike lanes to the streets of  Oxford. 

1999 Study of Invasive Exotic Species, Sponsor: City of Oxford. 

2000-2 Land Use Proposal for Immanuel Lutheran Church Park, Sponsor: Immanuel Lutheran Church 

2001-3  Environmental Assessment of Gilmore Ponds Wetland
