1981-2 Hydrothermal Energy 
This project evaluated the performance of a hydrothermal unit installed at Butler Rural Electric Cooperative based on energy costs and consumption. 

1982-4 Wind Energy 
This report presents information on wind energy conversion systems and wind data collected in Butler County. 

1982-2 Miami University Energy Conservation 
The team studied the history of energy use at Miami University, current energy use in a representative building, and social considerations of energy use. 

1983-1 Dual Fuel Heating Program 
This project devised a campaign to inform rural electric cooperative members about dual fuel heating (adding a heat pump to homes with an existing furnace). 

1985-3 The Effectiveness of Methods to Control the Peak
Load Problem of Butler Rural Electric Cooperative 
The team conducted an economic analysis and member survey to determine the effectiveness of Dual Heating in controlling a peak load problem. 

1986-3 The Butler Rural Electric Cooperative Dual Fuel
Program: Evaluation & Recommendation 
This project analyzed why the dual fuel program was not more widely used and how to increase participation in the program. 

1988-1 Electrical Grain Drying as a Means to Increase
Off-Peak Electrical Use 
This project examines using electrical grain dryers to increase the use of off-peak electricity by researching grain drying systems and surveying grain farmers. 

1993-5 Butler Rural Electric Cooperative Direct
Expansion Geothermal Heat Pump 
The team conducted an environmental, economic, and technical analysis on residential use of the Direct Expansion Heat Pump which heats and cools buildings using the earth as a heat source and sink.
