1986-4 An Evaluation of Educational Techniques Used by
the Cincinnati Zoo to Promote Conservation and Preservation
A classroom outreach program about conservation, habitat,
extinction, and pet image was studied to determine if student learning differed with different teaching techniques (contact with
live animals, no contact with animals, realia, or video).
1987-1 Evaluating Sign Effectiveness at the Cincinnati Zoo
This report presents research on the effective use of sign text to
communicate information about zoo exhibits.
1991-4 Radon in Southwest Ohio and What To Do About It
This report evaluated the occurrence of radon gas in the Butler
Rural Electric Cooperative's (BREC) area, determined the awareness level of BREC's members regarding effects of radon,
and provided educational information on radon gas.
1992-5 The Hidden Valley Environmental Education Center and Nature Preserve
A ten-year planning document was created to aid in the establishment and management of a nature center, including a
site assessment and recommendations on physical facilities, educational curricula and program options for the center.
1993-1 Hidden Valley Environmental Education Center and Nature Preserve: Recommendations on Organization
and Management
This report focused on management and organizational issues in
establishing a nature center and made recommendations on management, facilities, and programs based on clientele needs
and operations of other nature centers.

This project aided BREC in developing risk communication on
EMFs.
1994-3 Coordinating Volunteer Stream Monitoring in Southwest Ohio
This report provides a program framework for establishing a
long-term coordinated volunteer stream monitoring program.

This team formulated an emergancy disaster response plan for a
proactive solution to a potential problem.
