THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH FOR ENVIRONMENTALISTS
The
health of the earth will be my first consideration
I
will respect the knowledge which I have been privileged to learn
I
will maintain by all the means in my power, the honor and the noble
traditions
of those before me who have worked to protect the environment
My
colleagues in other disciplines will be my brothers and sisters
I
will not permit considerations of religion, nationality or race, party
politics or
social
standing to intervene between my duty and the health of the earth
I
will maintain the utmost respect for the life of all species.
