The IES team consists of the Directorate, the Staff, Core Course Coordinators, and
Area of Concentration Coordinators.
The Directorate includes the Director, Mark Boardman, Deputy Director,
Sandra Woy-Hazelton, and Interim Deputy Director, Donna McCollum. The IES staff includes Betty Haven, Program Associate, and Christine Ingham, Assistant Administrator.
Core course coordinators, who play a major advising role within the Institute, are carefully selected and have usually served in
that capacity for several years. Teaching ability and knowledge of environmental issues are key factors in coordinator selection.
Area of concentration coordinators are selected on the basis of competence in that specialty and interest in the
IES program. Most coordinators have been involved in establishing the curriculum for that area of concentration.
