ORIENTATION FIELD TRIPS
Each year at IES, entering
class members embark on three days of field trips. The
purpose of these trips is to give entering students a
broad-based idea of what environmental professionals can
do. By spending time with environmental professionals in
their workplaces, these trips allow students to form goals about
what field of environmental science they would like to
study. Also, the trips allow members of the entering class
to get to know each other and IES faculty members outside the
classroom.
Orientation
field trip destinations vary each year, but previous trips have
included stops at Mill Creek, the Ohio Department of Natural
Resources (Columbus), the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
(Columbus), the Aullwood Audubon Center (near Dayton).
