COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION
All IES students are required to complete
successfully an oral comprehensive examination given at the end
of the first year or upon completion of the IES core curriculum.
Students must have a 3.0 grade point average in order to take
the examination. Students are provided information concerning
the comprehensive well in advance of the date of the
examination. Members of the IES Executive Committee, the Core
Course Coordinators, and other IES faculty members direct this
examination. If failed, the examination may be taken a second
time. No third attempt is permitted.
