Support for IES

Over the years IES has been very fortunate to receive generous support from the graduates of the program and others who are concerned for the state of the environment. These funds have been used in a variety of ways. As you all know, our greatest need is for financial aid for the students. The IES Alumni Scholarship Fund has been extremely helpful in enabling students, especially international students, to make ends meet. We also use these funds to help with the expenses of taking some classes or conducting research for a practicum or thesis, attending professional meetings, and participating in some of the summer workshops.

Other funds have been used to bring distinguished speakers to campus, either for a semester, a week or just one day. We have also sponsored symposia and events on environmental issues, such as the Russia Conference, the International Northern Film Festival: Window to the North, and the conference on the Environment and Public Health of Haiti.
